Infant Having Running Nose And Dry Cough. Given T-minic And Ambrolite. Not Responding. Is This The Right Medication?

Thank you. My 19 month old daughter has running nose and cough - dry cough. She cough every 3 - 4 mins for 5-6 times which shakes up her entire chest . My paed gave her T-minic 3/day 2.5ml and ambrolite 3/day 3.5 ml However, her cough has increased. Her cough get worse soon after giving ambrolite. I wonder if she is on right medication . What can I do to provide immediate relief

Thanks for the query
Your paediatrician has prescribed right medication for your daughter. If she is not responding to these cough medication then give her Augmentin syr 5ml thrice a day for 5 days and syp. Zinc 5 ml once a day for 14 days. Watch for increased respiratory distress and high temp. If you notice any of these then consult your doctor immediately.
