Is There A Way To Avoid Miscarrying The Pregnancy Having Red Discharge?
Nov 1st I got my date... Last week took pregnancy test and the test was positive.. Today had red discharge so went to the doctor and had Ultrasound scan - results -significant decidual reaction and early / remnant of sac like area of 6mm seen in upper uterine cavity. No E/O any definite/viable fetal node or fetal parts seen in it at present. L.M.P dates not corresponding to sac like area size. No focal lessions Impression: Remnant sac like area of 4 to 5 weeks size.. Doctor told i wil be aborted soon.. i am not clear on this please anyone can suggest what to do now... please
Hello Thanks for writing to us with your health concern. Yes, from the ultrasound report that you have posted, it is fairly clear that the pregnancy has failed. There is no proper pregnancy sac seen. Also, a fetal node or fetal pole and yolk sac should be seen. The pregnancy sac also is not properly shaped. It has collapsed and only its remnant is seen. There is no point in continuing the pregnancy. You should have a termination at the earliest. Do not worry, as most often such a pregnancy complication is due to chromosomal abnormality. Most such women go on to have a successful pregnancy next time. All the best.
