Hi,
I am a male aged 32 yrs.
Please suggest me whether i need to go for surgery or rehabilation.
Here are the findings of my MRI scan
Complete anterior cruciate ligament tear at frmoral attachment.
Buckled posterior cruciate ligament with intrasubstance tear at femoral end.
Minimal joint effusion noted.
Marrow contusion in lateral femoral condyle with focal full thickness cartilage loss.
Chronic oblique tear in posterior horn af lateral meniscus with extension to inferior articular surface.
I am so sorry to hear about the knee injury you sustained and these MI findings. Given your age and these findings, I will strongly encourage you to consider going in for a surgical repair. This is because if nothing is done, you will soon be unable to use this articulation in the nearest future and complications are almost inevitable. As of now, i am certain you are unable to make great use of this joint and must have limited your daily level of activity greatly. ifnothing is done, it will only get worse.
Hope you find this helpful. I wish you the very best of outcomes. I strongly recommend that you consider surgical repair of these lesions. Dr. Ditah, MD.
