MRI Showed Right And Left Neural Foraminal Stenosis, Mild Bilateral Facet Degenerative Change, Flattened Ventral Cord. Explain
just if you could kindly explain to me - I had a Mri At C4-C5, a posterior disc osteophyte complex partially effaces the anterior subarachnoid space and flattens the ventral cord, mildly narrowing the spinal canal. There is severe right and mild left neural foraminal stenosis. Mild bilateral facet degenerative change.
Hi,dear.Your mri scan is showing that at your neck there is a slipped disc which is coming out of its place and it is causing pressure on your nerves continuously,as well as there are some degenerative changes also seen in your backbone in neck region due to that you might have experienced stiffness and lack of mobility in neck. Now you have tobe very careful because if these will continue then you might be left with very stiff ,immobile neck. For stopping this you are supposed to do exercises such as isometric exercise, stretching, movements, chin tuck exercises daily to strengthen your neck muscles. And you should use cervical support collar to support your neck & this will keep your neck in optimum position.always use a driving pillow and avoid doing long time writting and typing work, take some breaks in b/w.hope you will be fine soon.
