Should I Be Worried About Pelvic Pain Caused Due To Coughing After Abdominal Hysterectomy?
I had a total abdominal hysterectomy on 1/21/14 removing ovaries, tubes, uterus, cysts and tumors. I have been healing up nice and quick. I came down with a cold on 1/29 that through me into a coughing attack. During one cough I felt a horrible sharp pain unlike any pain thus far down reallly low on left side of pelvic. This has caused men to increase my pain med intake and be aware of any movement I make. I have been spotting blood since 1/28 and that has not increased. Any concerns I should have?
HI Thank for asking to HCM I really appreciate your concern, looking to the history given here I could say that if you have came out of the major surgery and now have complain of cough then this should be matter of concern indeed you have to take the cough suppressant medicine and the best option is "Dextromethorphan" in syrup form, it would advisable to find out the underlying cause of cough, for the bleeding you need to see the gynecologist, hope this information helps you have nice day.
