Started Estradiol After Hysterectomy And Oophorectomy. Concerned About Cancer. Need To Take Hormones?
Hi my name is Cindy and I will be forty next month. I had a complete hysterectomy and oophorectomy approximately 2.5 years ago. I started Estradiol 1 mg but stopped it about 9 months ago. I had the hysterectomy for ovarian masses in which one was a early stage one suspicious for cancer. I was told I will need to take hormones the rest of my life. I am afraid of breast cancer. My GYN doctor told me that i need the hormones to protect my heart and bones. I am very confused. I use Premarin cream once a week. I dont know what to do?
