I am 41. I am going in for my 8th laparoscopy tomorrow for yet another painful ovarian complex cyst. This time my Dr. has suggested the removal of this ovary. My last cyst was removed 18 months ago. I lost my left ovary to a large dermoid cyst in 2009. Heading into surgical menopause makes me nervous. I know how my body reacts to a laparoscopy, but how will I feel if I am thrown into menopause? Do I just have the surgery and remove the ovary, to do it again in another 18 months, or just take out my last ovary now and move one. I am so confused.
