Hello, I've had a nagging dry cough for approx. four days. Ribs hurt from coughing. Runny nose, white phlegm low grade temp of 101 first two days no temp today. I'm now slightly wheezing with subtle crackling that goes away with an occasional wet cough. Thoughts?
Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum. As you describe it appears to be a bacterial infection of the throat, with congestion of the throat and swelling of the uvula. I advise you to consult an E.N.T. surgeon for diagnosis and treatment. I usually prescribe to my patient with such symptoms erithromycin, phenylephrine, citrizine, and paracetamol. Avoid taking fruits, juices, ice cream, ice water. wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
