Respected madam , hi I evaluated your query thoroughly.
So far as treatment point of view is concerned for
varicose veins , depends largely on the symptomatology and concern of the patient, correlated with the clinical evaluation and Doppler findings.
I am discussing both ways of management :
1. Conservative management (Non-operative) :
-- suggested when it`s not much symptomatic, much troublesome .
-- advise patient to keep both lower
limbs elevated above 3-4 pillows when
resting.
-- keep mobilisation with compression stockings.
-- avoid
smoking / alcohol beverages.
-- medicines as and when required for pain only.
-- control of BP , Blood Sugar,
Cholestrol level under control.
2.Surgical management
-- when symptoms are more troublesome, more concerning , non-operative
measures not working / patient demands / surgeon decides that it`s
mandatory.
-- various procedures ranging from
laser / coagulation therapy / vivid
operative procedures depending on the Vascular Surgeon`s /
Interventional Radiologist`s concern.
Hope this clears your queries.
