3 Days ago I started to have runny nose and post nasal drip. It is still there and I also have a vey mild headache between the temples. It is Springtime. Live in sydney. Been working without break for over 2 weeks, so a bit run down. General energy levels ok. Haven't been to gym for 3 days.
Hi welcome to Healthcaremagic, Your symptoms seems to be due to to allergic rhinitis and associated sinusitis. Please do reply how long have you been suffering from this problem. I would also like to know if you had any previous history of allergy to pollen, mould, drugs or dust. It's spring time and the pollen load will be maximum in the air. The upper respiratory tract will get sensitized, mucosa of the nose and sinuses will get inflammed causing blocked and running nose. The sinuses get clogged causing headache. You will need a course of antihistamine, antibiotics to prevent secondary infection and sometimes a short course of steroids. After this attack subsides I would suggest you to have a complete allergic work up. In case you need details on the allergic workup, do contact us via Healthcaremagic. Do reply. Thank you.
