Hi I m 45 years old. For last two month my right leg is swelling and also a little bit pain . I m from a place where medical facilities are not so good . Last week I went to a doctor who also could nt diagnose. My family members are suspecting as filaria. I have heard that there is no treatment for filaria. So what to do?
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
Swelling of one leg can be due to local causes like filariasis, deep vein thrombosis, cellulitis or systemic causes like kidney or heart problem. Proper examination and investigations are needed under the guidance of a competent physician to find out the cause.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
