Was Admitted, Thinking I Had Stroke. Eyes Rolled Up, Felt Dizzy. My Speech Got Slurred, Began To Stutter. MRI Scan Is Clean. Prognosis?
Nearly 4 weeks ago I was admitted to the hospital with what they thought was a stroke or a heart attack. When I was being loaded onto the stretcher, my eyes rolled up into my head and I began to get extremely dizzy. (I do not have a history of seizures.) My speech began to get slurred and then I began to stutter. The neurologist and cardiologist found no indication of a heart attack or stroke. I've had a full MRI scan, with and without contrast; several heart and artery scans; blood tests, the works, and nothing can be found. I have since been unable to regain my speech and my migraines, that I have suffered with extensively for years, have gotten worse. The more I try to talk the worse they get. The doctors are stumped and I am frustrated with no answers. Any suggestions?
