Was Hit On Head. Have Headache And Ear Pain. Should I See A Doctor?

I was hit with a mini golf club on the top of my head last night. I had a headache and some nausea immediately following the injury. It is the next day and I have a slight headache and ear pain. Should I go to the doctor's office or assume I have a large bruise on my head and carry on with the ibuprofen treatment?

hello!!,ajamesfcr...
im dr.sagar,answering ur problem...
as u immediately had nausea and headache following injury...which indicates consultation with doctor...i suggest u plz consult ur nearby doctor as soon possible...
treatment with ibuprofen is juz analgesic/pain killer...
plz have dressing done on ur bruise it may in future may lead to infection,cellulitis..
as u had trauma, plz ensure to have tetanus toxoid injection half cc..
according to my view plz consult doctor abt whether to go for ct/MRI SCAN to rule out possible brain damage/skull damage...
get ur wound stitched if large gap present/dressed alternatively which lead to better wound healing...
treatment---cefexime bid 500mg+rabeprazole,domperidone bid +diclofenac sodium injection+diclofenac, serratiopeptidase tablets bid+tetanus toxoid injection half cc..
plz take care of urself...:)

Hi thanks for your question.
You are having headache and nausea following hit on the head. You should not take it lightly.Seek medical advice immadiately even if you have a minor bruise on your head.Headache and nausea following head trauma are symptoms of damage to brain and bleedimg inside brain. You may need CT Scan head to rule out any internal bleed.
Hope this answers your question.

General & Family Physician Dr. Achuo Ascensius's  Response
Hello,
thanks for using health care magic.

You have head trauma and head trauma is a severe condition
because complications could slowly and gradually evolve to
potentially lethal consequences.
However it appears you did have a mild head trauma since you
did not mention of any loss of consciousness not abnormally in
motor function nor power.

At moment, what you should do is to continue the pain killer and
proper wound care and most important be keen on appearance of
alert symptoms that would indicate a problem in the brain. Such
alert symptoms include; persistent headaches with increasing
intensity relieve by vomiting and resistant to pain killers, drowsiness
or progressive loss of consciousness, weakness in a limb or limbs etc.
The appearance of any of such symptoms necessitates a consultation
and a CT scan exam.

Hope this helps.

Hi,

Based from the information that you were hit by the golf club and you had a nausea and headache after the hit, causes a suspicion about the coupe and counter coupe injury to brain, and needs to be addressed by physician as soon as possible.

Their is need for a "CT-scan " to check for any sign of internal injuries, and if any signs of bleeding.

Please get your self checked at nearest emergency center or if far away from medical care ask some one to monitor you and rush to a emergency center in case of loss of consciousness.

Hope it helps.

Hello.Although your symptoms are normal you see your doctor as a precaution.
Symptoms of concern include dysfunctions in speech , mobility or vision, bleeding nose or ear,
decreased consciousness level. In that case is necessary go to emergency service .
Go to your doctor,he will examine you and, possibly,in a few days you will not have symptoms.
I wish you good health
