You seem to be suffering from Viral infection. Initial stages of all respiratory tract infections are of viral in origin. When it is not treated adequately secondary bacterial infection sets in and most of the time it is a streptococcal organism. Viral infection is a self-limiting one and usually subsides with 3-5 days. You need supportive care such as drinking plenty of warm water, doing steam inhalation and taking paracetamol tablet for the control of fever.

you can take symptomatic treatment for now and if no relief or you yellow or green discharge you can start with antibiotics like cephalosporins or penicillin group.
