Hi, it's unfortunate that your query has not received an appropriate answer for so long. Although pooping(soiling) in pants could be a result of a number of problems, common problems like chronic constipation(with overflow incontinence) need to be thought of and addressed. It is easy to assume this to be encopresis secondary to behavioural issues (which is not the case in many children if you carefully elicit history and assess the child). You wiil need to see a Paediatrician with an interest in Paediatric Gastroenterology to assess your child thoroughly and help you out. Such problems need close attention and follow-up by a Paediatrician and can take some time to resolve(most children can be cured of such problems). Also being my special area of interest, I can assist you in any way that I can. Best Wishes.Take care.

Thanks for the query. It appears to be a case of enuresis.
Release of urine at night (nocturnal enuresis) is much more common than daytime, or diurnal, wetting. Enuresis commonly affects young children and is involuntary. Many cases of enuresis clear up by themselves as the child matures, although some children need behavioral or physiological treatment in order to remain dry.

There are two main types of enuresis in children. Primary enuresis occurs when a child has never established bladder control. Secondary enuresis occurs when a person has established bladder control for a period of six months, then relapses and begins wetting. To be diagnosed with enuresis, a person must be at least five years old or have reached a developmental age of five years. Below this age, problems with bladder control are considered normal.
Your child will achieve control soon. Some herbals such as Mentat have been found to be useful. Ask your pediatrician and your child can be on this medication.
All the best.
