Hello and welcome to HCM,
Upper gastrointestinal tract endoscopy is preceded by use of local anaesthesia in the form of spray.
The use of spray causes little tingling sensation which is followed by numbness.
However, the altered sensation does not stay long and disappears as the effect of the local anaesthetic agent weans away.
There is nothing to worry, however, if it is troubling you, you can see your physician.

Thanks and take care
