Hello Since 4-5 months passed and still you are having cough with itchy type symptoms . May be due to , asthmatic allergic bronchitis . As you mentioned that now a days only cough ( dry ) with itching over eyes , red itchy eyes , running nose , red swollen sore throat with difficulty in swallowing .All these symptoms may be due to a some sort of allergy with throat infection ( STREP ) . Reason of such type of allergy may be dust, mite , pollen , hay , spray , fumes , smokes , sudden fall & rise of temperature , so if possible avoid these factors. Now main question that cough was from last 6 months approximately with phlegm ( expectoration ) green color, may be due to these possibilities , these includes. 1 Bronchiectasis , this is most common cause , get in blood for E S R , SPUTUM EXAMINATION & XRAY chest for confirmation. 2 Tuberculosis may be the next common cause , as you mentioned that these symptoms present from last 6 months with fever also present . Get in an X RAY chest with sputum examination for A F B examination. As I ahve noted in my patient that asthmatic allergic bronchitis lowers the immunity , hence these patient also develops tuberculosis ( prone to T B due to prolonged history ).
