Hi, I just recived the results of a ultrasound transvaginal sonogram and I whould like to know what this means. Findings: Real-Time grayscale and color doppler evaluation of the pelvis through transvaginal approach was performed. The uterus is normal in size measuring 6.1 x 2.8 x 2.5 cm. Thickening od the endometrial cavity is noted measuring 1.4 cm. The ovaries demastrate normal sonographic apperance. The right ovary measures 1.2 x 0.8 x 1.6 cm. The left ovary measures 2.6 x 2.4 x 2.7 cm. No ovarian lession or adnexal masses are noted. 1.7 x 1.4 cm hetereogenous cystic abnormality is noted in the left ovary with internal echogenicity and soft tissue. This could be related to involution hemorrhagic cyst. Free fluid is noted in the cul-de-sac. Impression: Small complicated right ovarian cyst is noted. Prominent endometrial cavity and free fluid wich could be physiologic in nature. Short-term followup is advised to assure resolution.
