What Does The Following MRI Scan Report Indicate?
*my uncle's daughter is suffering with poor memory loss n speech is not good.i have taken MRI Scan ,they told that ,impression is *1)mild bilateral symmetrical,faint hyperintensities at bilateral periventicular and petrigonal white matter-?? hypomyelination Vs signifance,, *2)bilateral maxillary,ethmoidal and sphenoidal sinusitis.so is this very critical or how much time this treatment takes place.please tell me doctor.thank you

Thanks for your question on HCM. In my opinion you should start vit B 12 injection and antibiotics as your MRI report suggest demylination and sinusitis. Consult pediatric neurologist about prognosis. You have to get done follow up MRI after treatment so see improvement in demylination. If it persist you need to investigate her further for auto immune as well as neurological disease. So consult pediatric neurologist and discuss these things.
