What Does The Mri Scan Of Brain Indicate?

My Daughter recently received her MRI results on a scan of her brain and spine.The report reads :-one or two left peri-frontal white matter foci T2 high signal, which are rather nonspecific.She has a positive Romberg + and Dysmetria in the Legs Heel-Shin test+.
Can you please explain what this all means?

Thanks for writing to HCM

One or two Peri-frontal T2W hyperintensities are generally non specific.
However it may be related to ischemic changes resulting from involvement of small blood vessels.
Ischemic changes resulting from blood vessels changes in diseases like hypertension,diabetes mellitus,dyslipidemia.
So,your daughter need monitoring of conditions that leads to ischemic changes like hypertension,altered lipid profile,diabetes mellitus.
She need investigations like routine hemogram,RBS,LFT,RFT,Lipid profile,ultrasound of abdomen.
Proper treatment depend upon findings.

If blood investigations are fine then there is nothing to worry.
