I've been diagnosed with Adjacent supraspinatus tendinosis. The MRI report states: THere is early new bone formation arising from the undersurface of the acromion ("early elephant foot type osteophyte"). There is adjacent high signal intensity within the supraspinatus tendon. I have been in pain for 21 months! Can this be fixed?
The report indicates there is inflammation of the tendon with a new bony growth (osteophytes - age related changes / excessive usage) It can be fixed with an antibiotic treatment with physiotherapy. Followed by intra joint injective treatment. In final stage if no relief in pain - operative may be indicated.
These pathology in the MRI is seen as a signal intensity changes in the tendons.
As a remedy weight bearing should be avoid on the problem side. Good luck.
Hope it helps you. Wish you a good health. Anything to ask ? do not hesitate. Thank you.
