Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Is Polyarthritis And How Is It Diagnosed And Treated?
I am a 55 year old female. I have been told that I need to have both hips and one shoulder replaced. Recently I was told that I have osteoarthritis (familiar with this one) and polyarthritis (not familiar with this one). What exactly is polyarthritis and how is it diagnosed and then treated? Thank you.
Polyarthritis is a disease in which multiple joints are involved. It can be treated with drugs so you should not be worried about that thing. Polyarthritis can be of multiple causes. It can be either rheumatoid or gout or post viral. it is nothing but arthritis of multiple joints.
