My wife is pregnant and ultrasound report of 36 week 5 days shows A LOOSE DOUBLE LOOP AROUND FETAL NECK.
kindly explain what is the exact meaning and what should we plan for safe deliver.

A loose double loop around fetal neck means umbilical cord is wrapped twice around the neck of fetus.
Since it is loose,there are chances that it will unwind with advancement of pregnancy.
Even if it doesn't unwind,normal delivery is possible with double loop.If it causes fetal compromise then cesarean section can be done.
