What Is The Remedy For A Squishy Bump After An Injury Causing Concussion And Temperoperietal?

A friends son fell off his trampoline and landed on His head. He started throwing up and was dizzy. Mom rushed him to hospital and they said concussion and has a temperoperietal fracture. She noticed a large squishy bump on his head after they had sent them home and has been trying to get answers from her doctor but he's not calling her back. What is the squishy bump and can it hurt her son. She is a great friend that is overwhelmed with stress and worry and I'm trying to research this.
Any help would be much appreciated!

Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.

I have noted the description of your friend's son injury and the subsequent symptoms.

The most likely cause of his symptoms could be a scalp hematoma, collection of blood under the skin over skull.

This is not a cause of concern, and would reduce on its own in a few days.

Pain relief medications such as ibuprofen may be continued.
