What Should Be Given To A 6 Month Old Infant For Cough?
Hi Doctor,My 6 months baby girl is having cough from last 10-15 days and her symptoms include coughing in morning and evening.she is not runny nose now and In day time she is well and playing or coughing 1-2 times.earlair doctor prescribed t-mimic and kofarest for 5 days but symptoms are same ...not increasing or decreasing....after 5 days doctor prescribed sinarest and kofarest for 3 more days trice a day and Omnacortil 10mg once a day for 3 days.so i am worried about omnacortil and what is your opinion to get relief from cough?

Omnacortril is prednisolone, a steroid and its use should be discouraged in view of its side effects unless it is clearly indicated,as in case of Asthma or Bronchiolitis.
For control of cough any syrup containing Dextromethophon can be given
