I am 19 years old and two years ago I had an Oophorectomy due to a massive dermoid cyst (so now I only have my left ovary). I have not had sex but have done other things with my boyfriend. I have not been able to reach climax. It is very frustrating and I was wondering if you can tell me if that is normal after a surgery like that. I have come close multiple times, but then the feeling seems to disappear/go away. If you can let me know, I would really appreciate it because I am just very curious at the moment. I have done a lot of research and know that the surgery can affect one s sexual desire, but I wasn t sure whether or not that meant having orgasms in general. Anyways, thank you!
Hi, Thank you.. Since your left ovary is intact there is less chance that surgery is the cause of your problem. Lack of relaxation, stress, dryness can cause decreased orgasm. Foreplay, finger stimulation and use of jelly to reduce dryness may help. Along with it proper relaxation is equally important.
