Suggest Remedies For Sinus And Prolonging Nasal Drip
52 years old - chronic sinusitis - had surgery at age 25 (deviated septum, cleaned out both lower and upper sinuses, and windows ) recently had worst sinus headache EVER - been 4 months and still have post nasal drip. Cannot blow nose on left side very well - feels like there s an extra hole or something preventing from blowing, but can sniff.Could this be CSF leak?
The symptoms as mentioned in your post can be attributed to acute exacerbation of Sinusitis. Investigations like complete blood count & X ray of para-nasal sinus will be helpful in clinching the diagnosis. Clinical examination of the nasal cavity & nasal drip will be helpful in distinguishing it from CSF leak.
So, kindly consult an ENT specialist & start treatment as advised: 1. Steam inhalation. 2. Analgesics like paracetamol. 3. Nasal decongestant drops. 4. Antibiotics depending upon culture & sensitivity. 5. Antihistamine preparations can also be used to provide symptomatic relief. 6. Maintain adequate hydration & a healthy balance diet. 7. Also make sure that you are well protected from cold, dust & other allergens.
Wish you good health & a speedy recovery. Take care.
